Hey there, trail lover!
We don’t have to tell you that it’s been getting pretty crowded out on the trails lately. On the one hand, it’s great that so many people are enjoying the outdoors. On the other hand, sometimes we struggle to understand each other on the trail.
That’s why Trails are Common Ground was created. We want to help reduce friction and increase respect and kindness by all users on all trails. It’s a broad-based national effort powered by people like you who care about having a great day on the trail every day.
As an avid trail user who people recognize and respect, you’re in a position to make a difference by helping everyone hit the trail with the right attitude (and maybe an extra bit of trail knowledge), and we’re psyched for you to serve as a social ambassador for Trails are Common Ground.
As an ambassador for Trails are Common Ground, you’ll continue to share your stoke for being outdoors as you usually do. When and where it feels natural and appropriate, you can add a reminder to your friends, fans, and followers to practice good “trailtude.” You can drop bits of knowledge, point out ways to be a better trail citizen, and even share examples of positive interactions on the trail.
Our ambassador toolkit has everything you need to make it easy:
- Colorful images and graphics sized for social,
- Cut and paste messages to use in your captions,
- Official hashtags and social channels to tag the campaign,
- Activity-specific practices and actions you can take,
- Access to the Trails are Common Ground ambassador perks program.
We’re not asking you to go out and be a trail cop. We expect that you already ride, run, or walk the talk when it comes to the core values at the heart of Trails are Common Ground.
We’re asking you to raise your voice to help remind others that everyone deserves to pursue happiness in nature and that creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment on the trail is a responsibility that we all share.
